Our organization:  Local internships are coordinated and guided with non-profit        organizations and for profit businesses in the Guanacaste Province of Costa Rica.  Most internships are non paid,  but our organizations' volunteer works in the local communities help offset overall  travel costs for visiting students.  By utilizing our relationships in the region, we are able to work with many beautiful resorts and local vacation rental owners,  who offer their luxurious vacation accommodations at a fraction of the regular tourist market costs. 

In return SDPUS helps coordinate many community organization projects in Costa Rica,     for the betterment of all, locals and visitors alike.  Our goal is the creation of  win-win community type initiatives, that have great benefits for all, including Costa Rica's most pristine and protected wildlife environments,  like Las Baulas National Park.  

SDPUS strives to help keep Costa Rica Clean & Green. We rely on support from our vast network of local & visiting professors, student interns & business affiliates to help continue the push forward in creating more opportunities to improve these very critical    community service initiatives.

The area:  Tamarindo is a small, but rapidly growing beach town environment. Our resident director will facilitate the coordination of each internship with local Costa Rican businesses, from start to finish.  SDPUS will pre-coordinate and ensure all your  safety     and transportation needs, seeing that each intern is safely transported from site to site.     Our instructors provide the necessary professional expertise, and Tamarindo provides       the ultimate student-intern setting to have a completely fulfilling cultural and educational experience. 

Tamarindo is a fantastic beach town that provides all of the necessary resources and infrastructure to safely and effectively meet all your home institutions (university) academic requirements. Our student internships in Tamarindo, Costa Rica were created to enhance student skills and marketability, but SDPUS internships also are developed and  promoted to help deliver a much needed community service to the very underserved Tico population within the rural-agricultural areas of Guanacaste, Costa Rica.  Small towns such as Villareal and Santa Rosa our the focus of SDPUS's programming and works.

   Students can make San Jose home base---"by working with one of the many urban based study abroad programs," and stay in their small and crowded dorm-like rooms or visiting students can choose to work with SDPUS in one of the beautiful rural beach communities of Costa Rica, staying in one of our upscale properties, in a very safe and youthful beach environment.                                                                                                                           THE ANSWER IS MADE SIMPLE--- SDPUS STUDY ABROAD!
